Pacific States Petroleum, Inc. is an on-site fueling company servicing California and Reno, focusing on delivering products like diesel, unleaded, and propane. It all started in May of 2001 with one fuel truck, a small location in Pleasant Hill, and a big idea. The idea was to deliver smaller than usual quantities of fuel to customer locations while providing unparalleled customer service. Description: Propane Sales Manager

Sales Representative Location: San Francisco (outlining areas) and North Bay (Santa Rosa)

Sales Requirements

  • 3-5 or more years of sales experience in cold-calling, telemarketing, and face-to-face strategies.
  • Petroleum sales experience preferred (Diesel and/or Propane)
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Demonstrated aptitude for problem-solving; ability to determine solutions for customers.
  • Must be results-oriented and able to work both independently and within a team environment. 
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite applications.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Demonstrated track record of producing results. 

Sales Representative Job Duties

  • Establishes, develops, and maintains business relationships with new customers and prospective customers in the assigned territory/market segment to generate new business for the organization’s products/services. 
  • Makes telephone calls and in-person visits to generate interest, submit proposals, and achieve sales results by providing our product(s) and services. 
  • Service existing accounts and establish new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedule.
  • Submits orders by referring to price lists and product literature.
  • Keeps management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as bi-monthly reports.
  • Resolve customer situations by investigating problems; reviewing solutions; making sound decisions.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Research sources for developing prospective customers and for information to determine their potential.
  • Develops clear and effective written proposals/quotations for current and prospective customers.
  • Coordinates sales effort with administration, dispatch and management to ensure smooth transition.
